ABOUT COINFOMANIA

How we work

How we source, review and correct our reporting, where AI is and isn’t used, how our numbers are produced, and how advertising is kept apart from the newsroom.

Maintained by the Coinfomania editorial team

Sourcing

Every factual claim is attributed. We link to the primary document — filing, court record, on-chain transaction or official statement — wherever one exists. Anonymous sources are used only when the information is important, can’t be obtained on the record, and has been confirmed by a second source; we say why the source wasn’t named.

We don’t publish price predictions, and no reporter covers an asset they hold more than $1,000 of. Holdings are disclosed to the editor and reviewed every quarter.

Review

Every story is read by an editor before publication. Stories involving legal claims, allegations or market-moving numbers get a second review. Guides are re-reviewed at least every 90 days, and the review date is shown on the page.

AI use

We use AI toTranscribe interviews and hearingsDraft data tables from provider feeds, checked by an editorTranslate stories for other editions, reviewed by a native-speaking editor
We never use AI toWrite or rewrite reportingWrite “why it matters” on signalsGenerate photos presented as real

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so at the top of the story — what was wrong, what’s right, and when we changed it. Updates that add information without changing earlier facts are listed at the end of the story instead. Every correction is logged below.

Data methodology

Crypto prices, market caps, supply and charts come from CoinGecko. Crypto-stock quotes come from Yahoo Finance and can be delayed. Solana holder counts and liquidity come from DexBoss. Every number on Coinfomania shows its source and time one tap away, under “Sources”.

What each data state means
FreshUpdated 14:32 UTCNormal. The time is the last successful update.
UpdatingUpdating…A refresh is in progress; the last value stays on screen.
DelayedDelayed · 14:05The provider is late. We show the last value and its time.
StaleStale · last valid 11:00Older than the asset’s refresh window. Read with care.
Unavailable— UnavailableWe can’t verify a value, so we don’t show one. Never 0.
Failed— Couldn’t loadA technical error. Retry, or check back shortly.
Source changedSource changed 12 OctWe switched provider; earlier values may differ slightly.

“What changed” signals need a baseline — a 30-day, 90-day or six-month norm — and must sit well outside it. Wallet labels are applied only when the owner has confirmed them or published the address.
